Children of Tsunami is currently conceived to run for 18 months, from January 2005 to June 2006.

It started on 26 January 2005, marking the first month after the Asian tsunami.

At a glance, the timeline is intended as follows:

• Filming through repeat visits to the families: every month, February to December 2005 inclusive.
  
• Monthly video reports released for initial broadcast use from April 2005 to January 2006.
  
• First anniversary documentary specials ready by end November 2005; first broadcasts happen during December 2005.
  
• Secondary and repeat broadcasts of TV programmes will continue well into 2006.
  
• Website goes online on 26 March 2005 - marking the third month of the disaster - and continue to grow and remains online at least until end 2006.
  
• Educational and civil society distribution (on VHS/DVD) will start in May 2005 and will last at least until June 2006.
  
• Book and photo exhibition planned for late 2005 or early 2006.
